For almost two years as Break Thru Films' in-house AP, I held the hands of subjects and learned how to make a documentary. I directed my first field shoots, researched and collected archival, found new story points and made them real. I coordinated shoots with 4 camera crews working simultaneously, learned to use Avid, and I enforced the line between amplifying stories and extracting them.
